Mountain Man Memorial March

Memorial Day

American Legion Post 2 conducts the annual Knoxville Memorial Day Ceremony each year.  Held at the the East Tennessee Veterans Memorial, located in World’s Fair Park, the ceremony begins at 11:30 AM.  Post members  also assist each year with the Memorial Day flag placement at the Tennessee State Veterans Cemeteries in Knox County.

Veterans Day 

Post 2 has organized the annual Veterans Day Parade in downtown Knoxville since 1925.  This is one of the largest Veterans Day Parades in the nation with over 100 units participating, including his school bands, local military units, community groups and youth organizations.

Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day

The American Legion Post 2 conducts an annual Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day Ceremony each December 7th, beginning at 12:45pm.

This event is held in the rotunda of in the Tennessee State Veterans cemetery located at 5901 Lyons View Pike in Knoxville, with a moment of silence held at 12:55 (7:55am Hawaii time)
